This Terms of Use (together with the documents referred to in it) tells you the terms on which you may make use of our website at COEPLUS.COM and related sites and mobile apps (collectively “our site“), whether as a guest or a registered user or for any purpose whatsoever. Use of our site includes accessing, browsing, or registering to use our site.

Please read these Terms of Use carefully before you start to use our site, as these will apply to your use of our site.

By using our site, you confirm that you accept these Terms of Use and that you agree to comply with them.

If you do not agree to these Terms of Use, you must not use our site.

OTHER APPLICABLE TERMS

These Terms of Use refer to the following additional terms, which also apply to your use of our site:

  • our Privacy Policy, which sets out the terms on which we process any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, including data retrieved from SingPass MyInfo. By using our site, you consent to such processing and you warrant that all data provided by you is accurate.
  • our Acceptable Use Policy, which sets out the permitted uses and prohibited uses of our site.
  • our Cookie Policy, which sets out information about the cookies on our site.
  • our Terms of Sales, which sets out the terms relating to purchasing of goods and/or services from our site, including vehicle trading and auction services.
  • our Affiliate Terms, which sets out our COEPLUS.COM Affiliate’s terms and conditions.

ABOUT COEPLUS.COM

COEPLUS.COM (“COEPLUS.COM”, “us” or “we”) is a site operated by COE PLUS PTE. LTD. We are a limited liability company, UEN: 202624364R incorporated in Singapore. We provide free COE (Certificate of Entitlement) renewal facilitation services, vehicle loan advisory services, vehicle insurance services, and related automotive services to Singapore vehicle owners. We also operate an eCommerce platform for the trading, buying, selling, and auctioning of vehicles.

COEPLUS.COM does not review users’ listings or content. Also, while we may help facilitate the resolution of disputes through various programs, COEPLUS.COM has no control over and does not guarantee the existence, quality, safety or legality of items advertised; the truth or accuracy of users’ content or listings; the ability of sellers to sell items; the ability of buyers to pay for items; or that a buyer or seller will actually complete a transaction or return an item.

SINGPASS MYINFO INTEGRATION

Our site integrates with the Singapore Government’s SingPass MyInfo service, operated by the Government Technology Agency of Singapore (GovTech) and the National Digital Identity (NDI) office. By clicking “Login with SingPass” on our site, you will be redirected to the SingPass login page. Upon successful authentication and your explicit consent on the SingPass consent screen, we will retrieve the personal data attributes you have consented to share, solely for the purpose of pre-filling your COE renewal or loan application form.

By using the SingPass MyInfo integration on our site, you agree to the following:

  • You are the legitimate holder of the SingPass account used to log in.
  • You consent to COEPLUS.COM retrieving the data attributes listed on the SingPass consent screen for the purpose of processing your application.
  • The data retrieved from MyInfo will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore.
  • You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, but this may affect our ability to process your application.
  • The use of SingPass and MyInfo is also subject to the SingPass Terms of Service at https://portal.singpass.gov.sg/home/ui/terms-of-use.

ELIGIBILITY — SINGAPORE CITIZENS, PERMANENT RESIDENTS, AND EMPLOYMENT PASS HOLDERS

Our COE renewal facilitation, vehicle loan advisory, and related services are available to:

  • Singapore Citizens;
  • Singapore Permanent Residents (PR); and
  • holders of valid Employment Passes (EP), S Passes, Dependant’s Passes, and other long-term passes who are legally eligible to own vehicles in Singapore under the Land Transport Authority (LTA) regulations.

By using our services, you warrant that you meet the eligibility criteria above and that any vehicle in respect of which you are seeking our services is registered in your name or that you are duly authorised to act on behalf of the registered owner. We reserve the right to request documentary proof of eligibility at any time.

USING COEPLUS.COM

In connection with using or accessing the Services, you will not:

  • post, list or upload content or items in inappropriate categories or areas on our sites;
  • breach or circumvent any laws, third party rights, or our systems, policies, or determinations of your account status;
  • sell any counterfeit items or otherwise infringe the copyright, trademark or other rights of third parties;
  • use our Services if you are not able to form legally binding contracts (for example if you are under 18), or are temporarily or indefinitely suspended from using our sites, services, applications or tools;
  • fail to pay for items purchased by you without legal basis;
  • fail to deliver items sold by you, unless you have a valid reason;
  • manipulate the price of any item or interfere with other user’s listings;
  • post false, inaccurate, misleading, defamatory, or libellous content;
  • take any action that may undermine the feedback or ratings systems;
  • transfer your COEPLUS.COM Account and User ID to another party without our consent;
  • distribute or post spam, unsolicited or bulk electronic communications, chain letters, or pyramid schemes;
  • distribute viruses or any other technologies that may harm COEPLUS.COM, or the interests or property of users;
  • use any robot, spider, scraper or other automated means to access our Services for any purpose;
  • bypass our robot exclusion headers, interfere or attempt to interfere with the working of our Services;
  • copy, modify, reproduce, perform, display, distribute, reverse engineer, or prepare derivative works from content that belongs to or is licensed to COEPLUS.COM without prior express permission;
  • harvest or otherwise collect information about users without their consent; or
  • circumvent any technical measures we use to provide the Services.

If we believe you are abusing COEPLUS.COM in any way, we may, in our sole discretion and without limiting other remedies, limit, suspend, or terminate your user account(s) and access to our Services.

We may cancel unconfirmed accounts or accounts that have been inactive for a long time or modify or discontinue our Services.

Additionally, we reserve the right to refuse or terminate our Services to anyone for any reason at our discretion.

FREE COE RENEWAL SERVICE

Our core COE renewal facilitation service is provided free of charge to all eligible users. COEPLUS.COM earns revenue through referral fees and commissions from our partner financial institutions and insurance providers when users take up loan or insurance products through our platform. This does not affect the cost of our free COE renewal facilitation service to you.

FEES

Joining COEPLUS.COM as an ordinary member is free. The fees we charge for using other Services (including premium vehicle listing services and auction services) are listed on the respective sections of our site. We may change our fees from time to time by posting the changes on our site 14 days in advance, but advance notice is not required for temporary promotions.

Unless otherwise stated, all fees are quoted in Singapore Dollars.

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may revise these Terms of Use at any time by amending this page.

Please check this page from time to time to take notice of any changes we made, as they are binding on you.

CHANGES TO OUR SITE

We may update our site from time to time, and may change the content at any time. However, please note that any of the content on our site may be out of date at any given time, and we are under no obligation to update it.

We do not guarantee that our site, or any content on it, will be free from errors or omissions.

ACCESSING OUR SITE

We do not guarantee that our site, or any content on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted. Access to our site is permitted on a temporary basis. We may suspend, withdraw, discontinue or change all or any part of our site without notice. We will not be liable to you if for any reason our site is unavailable at any time or for any period.

You are responsible for making all arrangements necessary for you to have access to our site.

You are also responsible for ensuring that all persons who access our site through your internet connection are aware of these Terms of Use and other applicable terms and conditions, and that they comply with them.

YOUR ACCOUNT AND PASSWORD

If you choose, or you are provided with, a user identification code, password or any other piece of information as part of our security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential. You must not disclose it to any third party.

We have the right to disable any user identification code or password, whether chosen by you or allocated by us, at any time, if in our reasonable opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these Terms of Use.

If you know or suspect that anyone other than you knows your user identification code or password, you must promptly notify us at support@coerenew.com.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in our site, and in the material published on it. Those works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved.

All trademarks, service marks, trade names, trade dress, product names and logos appearing on the site are the property of their respective owners.

You may print off one copy, and may download extracts, of any page(s) from our site for your personal use and you may draw the attention of others within your organisation to content posted on our site.

You must not modify the paper or digital copies of any materials you have printed off or downloaded in any way.

You must not use any part of the content on our site for commercial purposes without obtaining a licence to do so from us or our licensors.

If you are a business, these Terms of Use, their subject matter and their formation (and any non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by Singapore law. We both agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

“COEPLUS.COM” and “COE PLUS PTE. LTD.” and their associated marks are trade marks of COE PLUS PTE. LTD., whether registered or not.
